Call Me Malcolm is a ska punk band hailing from England, making this the 3rd time a guest has hopped (virtually) across the big waters to join us on Anywhere The Needle Drops. Musicians who have earned the respect of the bands they once (and still) idolized, they are bringing us their latest album, Echoes & Ghosts, on March 1st! Lucias Malcolm and Mark Farthing of the band hang out with Justin to discuss their history in music and ska punk, the dangers of unorganized playlists, secret clubs, and awkwardly hugging Goldfinger. Preorder Echoes & Ghosts now: callmemalcolm.bandcamp.com/album/echoes-ghosts included song: we shall meet in the place where there is no darkness official website: callmemalcolmband.com Instagram, Facebook, YouTube: @cmmalcolmband, @CallMeMalcolmBand, @CallMeMalcolm Theme music by Hero Jr. Sound and production by Paul Klimson of Theory One Productions |

Jake Simmons is finally on Anywhere the Needle Drops! Jake has been making good ol' rock and roll as a solo artist, leading Jake Simmons & The Little Ghosts, and in Katy Needs A Life. My favorite rocker from Kalamazoo is virtually in the Red Chuck Studio to chat about what’s been and what’s to come. official website: http://www.jakesimmons.us/ Bandcamp: https://jakesimmons.bandcamp.com/ Instagram, Facebook: @jakesimmonslg Theme music by Hero Jr. Sound and production by Paul Klimson of Theory One Productions |

It’s the latest bonus episode, a remaster of my 2014 conversation with The Rutabega, one of South Bend’s finest bands. Last week, we spoke to forestlike. Joshua Wayne Hensley, one half of forestlike, is also one half of The Rutabega. This is a waaaayback journey, nearly a decade ago, in local music history. Enjoy! official website: therutabega.com Bandcamp: https://theseknottylines.bandcamp.com Instagram: @the_rutabega Facebook: @theseknottylines YouTube: @the_rutabega Theme music by Hero Jr. Sound and production by Paul Klimson of Theory One Productions |
